I lived for twenty years in an apartment in a city. I barely knew anyone in there. Most of the residents are very cautious and would rather avoid interaction with a stranger. Maybe it's because of the high crime rates in the area.

One day, while I was going down the stairs I saw a kid playing at the hall. I tried to say hi to her but she simply run away when she saw me. The next day, I saw girl again when I was going down the stairs. I greeted her and asked her name. She was still a little bit scared but she replied and told me her name.

The following weeks, little Susy and I would always meet down the staircase. It bothered me that I never saw her parents. I asked her where were her mom was. she ran but a couple of minutes later she returned, dragging her mother.

"Mommy, Mommy, that man was looking for you!" Susy exclaimed while pointing at me.

"Where honey? No ones in here, besides us. Come on, now child your imagining things."
